The signed turnoff is on your left when coming from Halls Gap, 12 km along Mt Victory Road

Reeds Lookout offers stunning views over Victoria Valley and is accessed by a very short (but fairly steep) walk up a solid, well maintained path. 

You can take in the views from the fenced area at the top of the path, or you can head further up the rocky ground along the fence to another lookout point with a board showing the directions and distances of various significant landmarks. 

The Reed Lookout Fire Tower sits atop the rocky peak.



Walk from the Reeds and The Balconies Carpark

  • Distance: 100 m return
  • Time: 10 mins
  • Starting point: Reeds and Balconies Carpark
  • Difficulty: Easy. Wheelchair and pram accessible. Well formed path, short but fairly steep.
The short walk to The Balconies begins from the same parking area as Reeds Lookout, and is definitely worth doing in the same trip.
